Ajanta Caves - Ancient Buddhist Temples (India)

Ajanta Caves (India) are rock-cut cave monuments dating from the second century BC.

The caves contain paintings and sculpture considered to be masterpieces of both "Buddhist religious art" and "universal pictorial art".

Personally I was more impressed by the nearby Ellora Caves.
