Mandu (India)

The ruined city of Mandu used to be one of the largest and richest cities in India between the 11th and the 15th century.

A number of ruined palaces, mosques and muslim tombs are still standing or are being restored (unfortunately, some are being rebuilt, in a misguided effort by the Indian Ministry of Culture to preserve them).
