Adventures in Photo-Taking w/Laura

6 rolls now sitting on my desk to be developed.

So it's stories with only vaguely related pictures again!

Laura and I drove down to Oceanside (near san diego) yesterday, to shoot a lady who'd contacted me through myspace with a simple "when you gonna come down to oceanside?"

So we hopped in my car and made the 90 minute drive. Laura, only in LA for a few months, had yet to take a drive down the coast, and has enough of a sense of adventure that the idea of driving down the coast with a guy she only kinda knows didn't faze her.

Which worked out great for me as a)i hate that drive, makes me all kinds of sleepy and b) i was a bit apprehensive about shooting a stranger from the internet, so far from home base.

Inexplicably, I feel much safer shooting strangers in LA. Take me out of town, and I get all kinds of weirded out.

So I brought a wingman. Wingwoman.

Associate.

And we all had a great time. The model, Larissa, brought her adorable daughter, we all ate twizzlers, took photos, listened to a crappy restaurant singer, watched the boats on the bay, talked about getting married, having kids, the plight of the modern housewife. I even got an original piece of art from Larissa. And I love me some gifts!

Another internet adventure success. Also, the pumpkin muffin I got at the donut shop really helped cap off the day. Mmmm, pumpkin products.

Happy monday.
