Joy: Smiling Lisette (Explore #284)

My Lisette, getting used to the camera, at least on the boat. So happy upon returning to shore, on the boat.
I just love those little wisps of hair flying in the wind.
For those of you who have followed, my Lisette, 10 years old, was quite fearful of the camera. I have worked to get her over her fears. Here, back in Sept., on our boat (with the noise and fun), she was quite comfortable, upon returning to shore. Slowly, she is getting used to the camera, even in other settings. Tonight, she let a friend who was visiting take her picture (flash and camera noise and all) without totally freaking out and shaking for hours. This is progress. She is so pretty- and could show so many people how wonderful standard poodles are, if only she could stay comfortable with the camera. Progress. Progress.
The weather in South Florida has warmed up, but still, many dead fish floating in Florida Bay. So sad-- too many days of cold temperatures for the fish-- many did not survive. I have lived here for 30 years, and have never seen this kind of fish kill from the cold. Still these traumas are dwarfed by the horrible traumas in Haiti. My heart is sad.
