In memory of Jeanne-Claude, and an ode to Christo. Photoshopped version of a prior sunset photo from Key Largo, Florida. Once I learned to do a little Photoshop and played around with the hues, I always thought that this photo reminded me of Christo's bubble gum fabric covered islands in Biscayne Bay in Miami. I saw the Miami art work in 1983 and was amazed. I am posting this today, in honor of Christo's wife and artistic partner, Jeanne-Claude, who died two days ago. It was actually her idea to wrap the Miami islands. Interesting how it was her idea, and they were creative partners, but only his name is well-remembered. For many years they chose to use only his name, Christo, but in later years, added hers.
