Lotus fitted the windows by using a thick mastic sealant, which contained a heating wire/element in it. After all these years, we used a large 12 volt battery, and despite getting the wire, and the surrounding glass warm to the touch, we still struggled to get the mastic soft enough to loose its adhesive qualities, but we managed in the end.
