Phoenix

This is one of my best friends. And she is a phoenix. She has spent so much of her life finding herself, as so many of us do. And in doing so I have had the luck and the joy of watching her become the woman she is today. She is beautiful and strong and an inspiration to me always. She is my creative other half and my muse. What I want more than anything is for her to know how I see her, and the world to see how I see her. She has spent so long fighting with her identity and I want her to know... if you read this just know. THIS is who you are. You are an artist. You are a woman. You are strong and you are kind and you are my friend. And I will always have a place in my heart for you. No matter what the world throws your way, no matter what judgement society pins on you, I will be here to help you and you will continue to inspire. Time and again you have risen from the ashes stronger and even more beautiful than before.
