Towyn Wales 29th August 1975

In 1975 Towyn station on the Cambrian Railway/Great Western Railway coastal line in Central Wales boasted more facilities than many major towns today. Loop, Up & Down sidings, goods shed, coal yard, loading gauge, signal box, semaphore signals, foot bridge. It couldn't last & it didn't.

This view is looking northwards from an overbridge near the Talyllyn Railway terminus.
