Towyn Wales 29th August 1975
Looking north from Towyn station on the coast of Central Wales & the telephoto lens highlights the hump corresponding to the bridge over the extension of the High Street westwards known as Ffordd Y Pier. This was taken from the foot crossing at the end of the platform - a bit out of order I know as there was a footbridge!
I seem to remember the station was unmanned by this time but could be mistaken. It was certainly well used by the many holiday makers in Towyn.
Semaphore signalling abounded on the Cambrian Railway coastal route in the 1970s but has now all been swept away to be replaced by radio signalling.
