A Hard Rain Is Gonna Fall

The disintegrating front edge of a shelf cloud pushes ahead of a high energy storm cell. Within a few minutes after this shot was taken our office building was engulfed in high winds and torrential rain with numerous close lightning strikes merely seconds apart. The clouds were flying around in multiple directions as the winds ripped them apart. Some nearby cells dropped golf ball sized hail and knocked down limbs, trees and power lines across the eastern part of the state. Some excellent weather action.

From the 2nd floor of our office building in Burlington, MA.
