Within a 24 hour period, Ralph Klassen was property of 4 NHL teams.

Colorado Rockies' Ralph Klassen was selected by the Hartford Whalers in the 1979 NHL expansion draft (June 13). The New York Islanders acquired Ralph Klassen by trading goalie Terry Richardson to the Whalers the next day (June 14). The Islanders immediately sent Klassen to the St. Louis Blues to complete an earlier deal made on June 9, 1979.

NOTE:

June 9, 1979: The New York Islanders sent a player to be named later to the St. Louis Blues. The St. Louis Blues sent Barry Gibbs to the LA Kings. Blues sent Terry Richardson to the Islanders & Kings sent a player to be named later to the Blues. In August 16th, Kings sent Tom Williams to the Blues to complete the trade.
