The silent king (in explore)
Hello folks, how are you all?
I am so far behind with my images on here im still in the summer for this one! Too many other platforms are taking my attention at the moment and as I am a man I struggle to multitask them all!
So, those that know my work should instantly recognise this beauty of an oak tree. Known as Bruce, he resides on private land near my home in a farmed poplar wood. I recently spoke to the land owner who has informed me they are starting to cut the poplars next year so this magical scene probaly won't be around for much longer. Its a real shame but Bruce will be fine, if a little alone again for a while before the new trees grow up. I guess he's more like a guardian, overseeing the wood as it regrows around him.
This particular morning was looking pretty epic for a while but the mist never quite got into the wood like it has done previously so was lacking the light rays of previous attempts. This leaves a far more subtle image though and I actually prefer this one to the full on version from the previous year that has done so well for me in international competitions. The soft, golden lightads a real glow to the scene and highlights Brude beautifully, making him more the star of the show in this version.
On to other news and next year I am bringing back my Youtube channel. With the release of the DJI pocket 3 I finally have a tool I am happy to use to film. I am getting the creator combo version for Christmas (spoilt brat!) so will have far superior sound too from my previous videos. Again, I wont be playing to the algorithms or anything, just posting fairly regularly and hopefully some entertaining stuff. I always feel uncomfortable in front of a camera but I just have to get over that and get on with it! Christmas week in the shop means I wont be posting anything else here until the new year as it will be insanely busy now so Merry Christmas to everyone on here (if you celebrate it!) and see you in 2024!
