Fraserburgh - August 1978
One week-end in August 1978 this "item" was transported from the harbour in Fraserburgh, through the town for delivery to St. Fergus gas terminal, some 12 miles south on the Peterhead road.
All overhead phone, electricity lines en route were disconnected for the day, and they even temporarily raised the railway bridge at Lomnay!
Here is the Pickfords transport in King Edward Street slowing heading south.
