Red Roaster Full English breakfast
Have not posted a Full English in a while if you want to see more take a look at my full english breakfast album.
On my way to work I remembered that the Red Roaster had just reopened and that for the first 3 days (Friday is the last day) the food is half price. So I thought I would take advantage and check out their full English offering. It was very good, if you've read anything I have said about breakfasts you know that always say that a breakfast can always let it's self down with with a poor sausage, well the sausage on this breakfast was excellent with a great flavour, much larger than average and getting close to the equivalent of two sausages in mass. The one thing that did let it down was that there are no Beanz. I did mention this when I was paying and the guy said maybe they could add some home made Beanz. I told him that Bill's did that for while but eventually relented and added Heinz beans, he told me that would never happen (the head chief is Michelin stared). Not that I am comparing myself to the equivalent of the Michelin stared chief in the photography world but but I suppose it's a bit like when people ask me if I put my photos on canvas. Do I look like a painter to you so fair enough. Anyway the breakfast includes: 1 big sausage, maple bacon, roasted & dried tomato, lat mushroom, black pudding, sourdough, 2 eggs any style for £10.50 (drink not included). On the menu this dish is listed as "English" so without the word "Full" I can let them off not including Beanz. The new Red Roaster on saint James street is well worth checking out, new decor looks great and it's less echoy than it was so not a noisy.
My hot tip for a great breakfast in Brighton is Lucky Beach on the sea front which is run by the same people as the Read Roaster but includes Beanz.
