Giselle – Logos

This is the logos appeal.

Logos: The logical appeal. The idea is to use reasoning to persuade the viewer. The logic of supportive evidence. This was Aristotle's favorite appeal.

My poster utilizes Logos by informing the viewer that even though this ballet was choreographed 75 years earlier, this particular Classical ballet has adhered to its original design, an occurrence rare among ballets. In its day, there was no universal system for recording precise body movements. This is one of only a few ballets reliably notated.

To imply duplication over the passage of time, the dancer is duplicated, paired with the time-related information and sent back in space.
