Processing this image in OCR caused a good deal of the text and images from this logo to disappear. For example, the phrase “YOUR NEW SPRING STYLE” did not appear, whereas the words “next visit” appeared as “nexf v/ls‘/‘f,” and “DEAN of Shadyside Salon” simply appeared as “OF SHfi|5V§|lY 375$? I.” Additionally, the oval-shaped symbol next to the phrase “Dean of Shadyside Salon” and “.” in the web address also were not recognized. The phrase “Dean of Shadyside Salon” and the oval-shaped symbol next to it appeared to a customized logo for the salon, meaning that they were likely inserted into the original files as .jpegs and therefore appeared primarily as code after the processing.
I believe that the rest of the text either did not show up or looked incorrect because of the brightly colored font and quality of the original file. Lastly, the font was italicized, possibly making it harder for the OCR software to correctly identify each letter.
