Scuba Certified
Mike and I spent the weekend out at Dutch Springs, a quarry in Pennsylvania, where we completed our PADI open-water certification. It was cold (water about 65 degrees, which was warmer than the ambient temp) and drizzly, and when we finished, we furtively checked our phones to discover that the mayor was, indeed, shutting down the subways in a few hours. On the bus ride back to the city, we made a task list for getting the apartment hurricane ready and a small shopping list for a quick grocery run. We are EFFICIENT! And certified.
