Experiment with Balance III (63)
I've been reading a 1942 Teach yourself to Draw book which has very precise advice about how to begin to understand the elements of composition – structure, balance, construction, etc – in a drawing. Regarding balance the author says: if you place a larger object close to your main subject, and a smaller one further away on the other side of it, balance will be effected. This is the result of my second attempt to do just that with a photograph. It's an improvement on my first attempt, so I'm happy.
