Not all quotes have a universal meaning. Behind the author, it may mean one specific approach or depiction. But to the world, quotes can be seen in different aspects depending on the individual. There is right or wrong answers to quotes. It's funny how sometimes you read a quote and in your thoughts, it makes sense, but once you're asked to explain it, you can't.
To me, the quote above me means that everyone dedicates themselves to something in their specialty whether it's being a photographer, journalist, teacher, mother/father, etc. There is just so many things you can become, that filling 20 more other shoes is just going a nearly impossible task.
Or in another simpler aspect, no one is perfect.
