Snowy Egret (Egretta thula)

Snowy egret fishing in Rincon Creek, Rincon Point, California. Capturing this image was like trying to shoot a lightning strike. This egret and a heron were both hunting frogs in the lagoon. I took a lot of photos. This shot captured the strike, showing a little motion blur in the head and neck, with exquisite detail in the body, and all the symmetry and beauty I was hoping for.
