State Street Power Outage 6/28/2012

There was a fire in the power distribution unit at the electric substation near the Howard Cooper automotive dealer on State Street in Ann Arbor, MI.

Suspected contributory factors are a bird caught on the wire, the extreme heat, and added electrical demand because of said heat.
