Second test that day of speed at my apartment near Cambridge, MA. Via Vonage Speedtest. I was connected over Ethernet to the router/hub supplied by Verizon. The connection runs by fiber to an ONT Optical Network Terminal box and thence via old Comcast co-ax sepatately to the router and to the television set top box. Another connection is called POTS and goes to an ancient junction box in the basement and then by original 1924 cotton-wrapped copper wiring to a splitter in the attic, where both a fax and a cordless landline reside.
