About Hella:
Hella Steins lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She had already been engaged in various creative disciplines (drawing, writing, playing the drums), when in 1999 she finally found her true love: making mosaics.
In 2006 she started her mosaic company Smashing Stones. Since then she has not only
continued developing her own mosaic style but she also has been sharing the joy of making
mosaics with many others by giving workshops and courses, both in Amsterdam and in Greece.
