Deadvlei Heat
To be at Deadvlei at the early morning is a race in the darkness as the closest overnight is 60 km away. There are no permits to stay there overnight. Getting up at 4am to be ready for the drive some 1 1/2h before sunrise is a must. Once you are there all the hectic is lost and you immerse in a different universe of beauty and uniqueness.
Present image is the first light coming over the sand dunes in the east and a light shaft showing its path into the clay pan its over 700 year old dead camel thorn trees.
Image done with Rodenstock 138mm HR -Digaron f/6.5. Some 12 stacking to achieve complete sharpness all around the field.
