Sun Offerings

This image was taken in the Lower Cathedral Valley at the generally somewhat overlooked Capitol Reef National Park, located in the southeastern corner of Utah. Most people drive through it on their way between Bryce Canyon and Moab and only stop along the short road which leads through this park. That is a shame as most attractions are off the main road and will get missed.

Last spring I did a trip with two other photographer fellows of mine to explore the area a little bit beyond the usual driving through. I chose May in the hope to get images with flowers.

In the background you see the monolith named Temple of the Sun, hence the title “Sun Offerings”.

Interested in a photo tour through the American Southwest? I can help you with it and make you come back with unique shots.
