Leaf Touching Water

The wind blows through the trees lining the banks of the little pond....stirring leaves and gently rocking the branches. The lowest branch sways back and forth, up and down -dipping to touch the water ever so slightly...uniting the tree and the pond for a moment merging reflections with shadowy leaves then raising into the air again creating concentric ripples that radiate across the smooth surface. This happens again each time the wind sways the tree...like a little choreographed dance.
