Soda syphons
A remarkable collection of over 100 soda-water siphon bottles, some of them antiques- is displayed in the front window of The Woolpack Pub on Church Street behind the church of St. Nicholas in historic Chipping Hill, Witham. It is a simple, friendly, real ale pub with occasional guest ales and guest drinkers (like myself) as well as a proper billiards room and saloon bar to keep punters amused. The siphon bottles were taken down for a time when management changed, but have been put back in their rightful place as part of the character of this delightful watering hole.
