Chapmans drugstore and old-fashioned soda fountain has been open since 1921 in the town of Hapeville , Georgia...the original ceiling fans still keep it cool in the summertime, it sits on Hapeville main street across the railway tracks from the Ford motor factory - a 5 minute drive from Hartsfield airport. They can fill your drug prescription or and while you wait you can get a hot grilled sandwich and a limeade to wash it down,or an orange whip, vanilla or cherry coke...or a number of other tasty nostalgic treats ....a blast from the past and worth every penny. It is one of the last old soda fountains left in the state of Georgia, a sad loss of a real piece of genuine Americana. This photo was originally taken on 200ISO Fuji Film, later scanned onto a disk then photoshopped to reduse grainyness, vignetting and noise, and boost the colors.
