She had a conflict of interest

Peak leaf color in northeast Connecticut was a couple of weeks ago and I mostly missed it. I left for D.C. just as my whole neighborhood started glowing and I returned just after many of the maples had dropped their reds. I did see some of the glory on an errand run in WIllimantic.
