We didn’t expect fire pits, guinea pig, and full-blown dancing parades on Day 1 in Cusco!

 

Before starting our jungle trek to Machu Picchu, we tried a traditional local dish, guinea pig (Olive’s first time). Then our guide brought us to a massive street festival: Bajada de Reyes, filled with fire, drums, color, and celebration.

 

We joined the parade, danced with locals, and ended with late-night food under the stars.
