all my books in a row

It's a nice thing to do from time to time to take all your books out of their shelves.... you will find some forgotten friends hidden in the back row, also some little gems and treasures you didn't remember, also those who only lasted few days, those that only helped you to escape from reallity in a bad moment or to pass the time while travelling, or simply to enjoy while diving into the story, those who accompanied you every night during weeks or even months, those who made you enjoy every single word in it, those who made you cry, laugh, think... and last but not least those whose words helped to make of you, gently and slowly, the person that you are right now.

Julian Barnes, Alan Watts, Fernando Sánchez Dragó, Amèlie Nothomb, Javier Cercas, Isabel Allende, Michael Crichton, Julio Cortázar, Michael Ende, Martin Amis, John Le Carré, Doris Lessing, Isaac Asimov, Jung Chang, Gerald Durrell, Bret Easton Ellis, Milan Kundera, José Saramago.George Orwell, Matilde Asensi, J.R.R.Tolkien, Tom Wolfe, Paulo Coelho, Agatha Christie, Terenci Moix, Andy Warhol, Umberto Eco, Kazuo Ishiguro, Albert Sánchez-Piñol, Carlos Castaneda, Noah Gordon, Jack Kerouak, Hergé, Laozi, Rudyard Kipling, John Lanchester, Haruki Murakami, John Irving, Raymond Carver, Carme Riera, P.D.James, Amy Tan, Vicenç Pagés Jordà, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Stanislav Lem, Truman Capote (who wrote "In Cold Blood" mostly here at the Costa Brava)... and the list could go on and on....

If anyone of you stop here someday....just a big THANK YOU!!!

This has been the best part of the "painting thing"...

... but also exhausting, I must say! :-)
