misaligned basement window filled in

The fourth basement window ended up being misaligned because the foundation subcontractors built the bulkhead wider than spec, and also a little further away from the original house than spec. This was due to

a) the spec was for a prebuilt bulkhead, but they built a full bulkhead

b) the foundation subs thought there should have been more space between the old foundation and the bulkhead wall for drainage purposes.

 

Where they placed the window would have been under the steps for the family room exit, so we asked them to fill in that window.
