If you don't already know this, you should.
Librarians tend (in the overwhelming majority) to be the types of people that go above and beyond. All the time, like consistantly. I know so many librarians that I can't even give you an accurate count so you should really trust me on this.
On flickr alone, I can count 7-8 librarians that I have met in the last 4 months. There are a raft of us in the 365.
Anyway, when sweet sweet smg55039 found out that I wouldn't be going to ALA in DC and that I was a little more than a little bit sad about it - she offered to send me some swag.
How nice, I thought. Thinking she'd send a few bookmarks or a poster.
Well...this package came today that was packed FULL of cool stuff. We're talking tote bags, pens, buttons, comic books (The Dark Tower graphic novel!), stickers, a mini portfolio and even a book. Seriously, everything I would have picked up for myself had I been there. And this woman only knows me from flickr...my goofy stream on flickr.
How awesome is that?
