Shephard was the daughter of railroad magnate Jay Gould (1836-1892) who acquired the property in 1880. Today: National Trust for Historic Presevation house with restored gardens on 67 acres.

On slide (handwritten): "S" and "Shepard [sic], Mrs. F.J., Irvington, N.Y."
