Kara Walker, Domino Sugar

We waited on a 6-block line to see this. The air was festive, and people took trophy pictures with the elements of the installation--think posing with Mickey Mouse at Disneyland. The enormous space reeked of the molasses and sugar. The sculpture got younger and more cartoon-like toward the rear end.
