TWS arkaroola cyberaction

As many will be aware I spend a substantial amount of time working for the complete protection of the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary from the mining industry.

Negotiations are currently in process between the state government and the mining company seeking a return to active drilling within the sanctuary, Marathon Resources.

This despite overwhelming public opposition being expressed to the idea of mining access to this remarkable wild place every time the issue is raised!

If you're as concerned as I am please spare a moment to take part in The Wilderness Society's cyber-action, which was placed online this morning. This is your opportunity to tell Mike Rann what you think...

The image is mine, the graphics are The Wilderness Society's. It's always a pleasure to see a photo used well!

If you want to get an idea of the magnificence of the area in question please take a short ride on the Desktop Toyota; traverse the famous Ridgetop Track virtually right here on flickr!
