Safavid era (1501-1736 AD) tile work in the South Iwan of the Jameh Mosque (Friday Mosque) in Isfahan, the capital of Isfahan Province, Iran. The mosque has evolved over a period of nearly 1,200 years and is the oldest preserved Friday Mosque in Iran. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012, inscribed as the Masjed-e Jame of Isfahan (Iran).
