Mountain Zebra

Mountain zebras have narrow, numerous black and white stripes that extend to the hooves, with the belly being white and lacking stripes. The stripes on the hindquarters are broad and horizontal, while the rump has a "gridiron" pattern of dark markings. A key distinguishing feature is the lack of shadow stripes, unlike the plains zebra.
