Went camping at Joshua Tree over the weekend for the first time. What an awesome place, especially to run around and do some bouldering. I saw this shot first from Steve Sieren and knew that if I ever were at JT this would be one of the things i could not leave without. I was a bit disappointed I could not see the stars but the full moon was gorgeous in its own right. I have a ton of photos of this tree at different times of the day but I like this one a bit more because it was the first time I did light painting. I'm not sure what I'm actually doing and it turns out very different from one shot to the next but things sort of aligned with this one for me. On a side note, this spot is right next to a campground so I was entertained by a group of campers having fun and feeding me a drink or two in between photos :)
