“You should sing today...

You may not have the vocal range to sing the lead in “Phantom of the Opera” or Puccini’s “La Boheme”...

You’re probably not the next contestant on “American Idol” or “The Voice”...

Your stage may be your living room, your car, or your tractor.

But even if you don’t get paid, approved or applauded for doing it...

You should sing today...

Perhaps your song is a lullaby to a child who is not feeling well...

Or a favorite old hymn that someone about to leave this world wants to carry with them to heaven...

It might be a song of praise with a crowd of thousands...

Or a quiet celebration of comfort and healing that is simply a duet with you and God.

American author Henry Van Dyke said it best:

”The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.”

So, sing today.

Because what is singing, really?

Most importantly, it is the expression of the soul, and it was designed and created for all of us to do.
