A project about Syria عدسة شاب دمشقي
The world's reaction towards the situation in Syria
This is how the international community reacts when knowing that innocent civilians in Syria are being murdered daily by Russian air forces, Iranian soldiers and the Assad regime.
Syria's war started as a revolution against the president, Bashar Al-Assad, who practiced ultimate dictatorship over the country by using a variety of brutal fear-tactics to intimidatingly silence anyone who spoke out against him. Human rights such as freedom of speech were not recognised and punished if practiced. Now, there are currently armed rebel groups, the main and most popular being the Free Syrian Army, who protect civilians and fight against the regime (as well as its Russian and Iranian allies) and extremist terrorist groups such as ISIS.
