Yokan

Miho and her mom, Masumi-san, treated us to a wonderful day out. Second stop was lunch at this restaurant along the Tama River. The food looked strange to me, but I loved most everything I tasted. Perhaps the best thing was getting the opportunity to sample so many treats that I never would have tried on my own.

 

I'm not sure what this yokan was made from, but it was delicious.
