The Dapol model of the Western class loco is almost beyond belief in its detail at this fine scale. You get a packet of additional bits (pipes etc) to augment it still further and you even get a complete spare bogie (truck) assembly. You also get a choice of NEM-standard couplings. This picture was taken just after the loco was received from the UK and I hadn't yet installed the (Arnold-style) couplers. In fact, the loco had just had its bogie gears lightly oiled (as per running-in instructions) and was just about to commence the second part of the running-in procedure ... 30 minutes in one direction, then 30 minutes in the other! The model shown is D1058 Western Nobleman.
