"The People's Tank"

The Golikov Type 23 was in many respects “The People’s Tank”. Sharing an 85% components commonality with civilian farm vehicles, a sector of engineering that had long seen standardization under Tsar Gorgi, T-23 tanks rolled off production lines with a minimal need for the re-equipping of factories. Likewise, farm laborers, familiar with their standard-issue tractors, needed little training to grow accustomed to their standard-issue AFV.

During the occupation of the Dune Sea, the “Calvary” units had been retro-fitted with an 80mm cannon. The up-gunned T-23 was designated 23/80.

An older build of mine, made more handsome this weekend.
