The Rapture
Today was very fucking weird.
We woke up at 7:00 this morning to a view out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. No shit it looked just like the bit when the aliens came to take Barry. Can't remember? Well it happened.
The blinds in the bedroom were lit up like there was a fire just outside.
Turns out there was a massive dust storm in Western NSW that sent a blanket of dust over the Eastern seaboard all day. Worst one in 70 years. This is the jetty at Warners Bay where on a clear day you can see many kilometres away.
So, yes. At some points today I did think we were all going to die. One of my colleagues explained to me that it was The Rapture. I had to google it but once I did, I think she might have been correct.
