Quite the timequake going on while rereading the Vonnegut book .... I was finishing up two projects and beginning another when this hit. February 7 was the premiere of 'Keepers of the Dream', Northwest Film Forum, a documentary of Black Panther women in Seattle in the 60's and 70's. A few photos of mine were used, got tickets and I offered to shoot the premiere on Capital Hill in Seattle. Later that month, February 24th, members of the Lewis County Water Alliance nailed down the law keeping a Japanese conglomerate from building a 100,000 sq ft plastic bottle plant near rural Randle, Wa., Lewis County. The County Commissioners passed laws to keep them out. I also started doing photos on a wetlands issue on a college campus in Tacoma. Then, BAM, the channel got changed. Had symptoms, laid low, called the local hospital. Told them I was Tom Hanks and in the NBA to get tested but was told a chuckled 'no, and I don't wanna argue with you', she said. Now I'm shooting home details for my pregnant daughter in Ohio, watching Berlin Babylon on Netflix, vintage Formula 1, loud music and getting random phone calls from folks I haven't talked to in ages while shooting pictures out of our bedroom window. Busy stuff, weird and difficult times ...
