We lived in Heidelberg in a place like these, still don't know where yet. We had a maid, I called her Brünhilda. My Dutch mother seemed to love being in charge, given that she grew up with servants in the 1920's and '30's in the Netherlands.My father was never home, off dealing with repatriation stuff that is still top secret.
