MSC VIRTUOSA

Le Havre, Normandy, France - The newest cruise ship of the Italian-Swiss shipowner MSC Cruises, crossed the breakwaters of the port of Le Havre this Friday morning, more than a day ahead of its scheduled arrival. Inbound from Saint-Nazaire shipyard, the vessel cost one billion euros for a gross tonnage of 181,541 tons, a top speed of 22.2 knots and a total area of 460,000 m² should remain docked in Le Havre until 30th April 2021. The MSC Virtuosa will take its inaugural cruise - fitted out due to the health crisis - from the British port of Southampton on 20th May 2021. This will be the first in a series of three and four night mini cruises. The ship will then offer longer cruises of seven nights starting 12th June 2021 and the possibility of boarding from two ports in England (Southampton and Liverpool) and Scotland (at Greenhock, the port of Glasgow).
