Five Years

This past Thursday marks the fifth year since I opened this account on October 19th, 2012.

 

Being a part of the FOL community has been and continues to be an immense blessing, and I want to thank you all for that. I've been given unlimited opportunity to share and receive (well, more like a terabyte, but there's no way I'm using that up any time soon), and that opportunity has been the foundation for much personal growth over the years.

 

Not just any years, either-my account was created in my last year of middle school and has lasted all through high school. It's generally understood how formative those years are, and so I'm happy, or monstrously misled, to tell you that I consider the FOL community here on Flickr to have been an overwhelmingly positive influence on my life. Building MOCs has led to building relationships, which has led to fantastic experiences. All of that is part of the unified experience that is this community, and I wonder often what I would be like if I'd never come in contact or become a part of it.
