Spaceman Riots!
LEGO Police and Army Delta Force operators protect the Space Union from Spacemen protesters!
1000's of unhappy and restless Spacemen converge on the Space Union's headquarters on earth (Washington D.C.) to protest while LEGO Police and Army Delta Force operators monitor the situation. The Swat team is off fighting Zombies and could not attend.
Tensions are high. The Space Union refuses to budge on it's current 2014 budget which includes a pay decrease, cheaper coffee, and elimination of it's retirement program. Spaceman workers are now fighting their own union and drinking lowest bidder coffee whilst still at the mercy of their corporate employers may soon having nothing to lose making them ripe for rioting and anarchistic actions.
The Space Union, representing spacemen worker interests throughout the galaxy, refuses to change despite this pressure. Unfortunately, political and financial interests are winning favor and the Space Union has disbanded caring for it's members and instead panders to influence from brides and favors. It is well known to be a highly corrupt organization.
LEGO Police Force and with help of a US Army Delta Force detachment (pictured on the roof and called in by the President himself) secure the perimeter of the Space Union's Headquarters and hope that the protest demonstration will proceed peacefully.
If it does not, Police and Delta Force members have been authorized to bring to bear serious counter measures to any rebellious Spacemen who cross the line and attempt to assault officers or damage the Space Union's compound.
Police personnel are geared up in riot gear (flack jackets, helmets, riot batons and shields) and Army Delta Force operators secure the roof prepared to rain down pain and devastation if the Spacemen violate their peaceful demonstration permit. The use of Deadly Force has been authorized.
Pictured:
Ground Level: 25 LEGO Police Officers, including infamous Officer Ed "Coffee" Cook, SGT Brad Sellpabst, and Officer Michelle "Cupcakes" Brown. Cook was ordered to not drink coffee during the protest and SGT Sellpabst is supervising team B.
Roof: 12 man Army Delta Force detachment, equipped for urban warfare including several snipers.
Spacemen: Over 70 LEGO Spaceman, including Red, Blue, White, Yellow, Black and later issued Spacemen units are protesting.
Q/A:
Q: Why are military forces being deployed for a civilian matter?
A: Due to the previous Spaceman riots of 1987 which caused the destruction of over a billion dollars of property and countless police and Spaceman lives, the President decided to deploy one of it's top urban warfare units, Delta Force, to assist police. This reason and the fact the Space Union members are multi-national and planetary in nature, makes national security is a big concern. Additionally, LEGO Police's SWAT team is currently fighting off Zombies in another area of town.
Q: Do you actually own that many spacemen?
A: Yes! We here at LEGO Police Force love all LEGO themes, and Classic-Space has a special place in my memory as some of the first LEGO sets we owned. We've been collecting for years.
Q: What custom accessories are used in this scene?
We used pieces and equipment sold by CitizenBrick.com ModernBrickWarfare.com, Brickarms.com, BrickBrigade.com and BrickForge.com.
